Help with EfiLive Spark tuning
#11
you dont have to add or subtract any to the Low octane table. just work with the high octane table for now.
and remember the IAT, ECT and other stuff add or subtract from your total timing.

So is it a good idea to zero out those tables so that im just using the High octane table? Also if i work with the High octane table and get that dialed in, can i just take and subtract 2-3* for the Low octane table. One more thing do you guys turn the Knock sensors off when you first start tuning spark or do you wait till you start showing some knock in your logs?

na, leave them be. you can zero them out if you want so you can work on the timing if you want.
id put about 8* subtracted from the High to the low incase you get some bad gas or somthing.
i had to desensitize my knock sensors with the new cam/springs/pushrods. they are more noisy and its picking up alot of false knock.
if you do turn them off listen very carefully for any detonatation.
