guys using torque pro
#1
Ive done some search and didnt have the luck i was hoping. Ive had a random misfire code for a little while and I downloaded Torque Pro like quite a few folk told me so. And yes its showing the same code. Is there anyway to check and see which Cyl. or cyls that are misfiring to narrow it down and fix this?? thanks guys

Your buddy overstated the problem. P0300 merely means that there is a misfire and the PCM can't track it down to a single cylinder. While having multiple cylinder misfires will indeed set P0300, it could also be one cylinder missing at random, internal engine noise, weak fuel pressure, etc. It could even be a faulty crank position sensor.
- Running the vehicle Out of fuel causes sufficient misfire to set DTC P0300. A vehicle that is out of fuel may have fuel level DTCs also set.
- A restricted fuel filter can cause sufficient misfire to set DTC P0300. Refer to Fuel System Diagnosis. See: Powertrain Management\Computers and Control Systems\Testing and Inspection\Component Tests and General Diagnostics
- Excessive vibration from sources other than the engine can cause a misfire DTC. The following are possible sources of vibration:
- Variable thickness brake rotor
- Drive shaft not balanced
- Certain rough road conditions
