if someone happened to gut there cats.. and then have it tuned out would it still pass inspection? as far as the whole readiness monitors go? or would it not be able to go? pretty much just wondering? > because i would never do this lol....

 

not sure on passing inspection. do they have a sniffer test?


i wouldnt gut them, cut them off and sell them for $80 a piece. then replace the piping

I would also like to know if anyone has tried this in Ontario... I have no cats but Farm plates are exempt from testing.

 

they do not have a sniffer all they do is plug it in to see if the rediness monitors say ready.

 

I live in dallas tx. I was thinkin about doin the same. I would like to know if it would pass or not myself. Wanting to do longtubes. Should I move em back or gut em. They look under my truck every time for inspections

 

Check the Speed Daddy/DNA headers and y-pipe on ebay. They have fake cats that are actually resonators.
