Default Gereral newb questions about choosing a tuning program

Was thinking of sending off my PCM and having it tuned. Read some about HP tune and EFI. Some friends here locally said they would be interested in tuning thier trucks too.

How much am I looking at spending if I want to run a few basic programs on several vehicles?

Which is best for someone just starting out doing custom tunes?

Both of them are great products.. They work well, have good customer service, and lots of knowledgeable people use both.. I chose Hp Tuners based on the fact that Allen Nelson uses it and It would be easy for him to email me tunes and for me to upload them.. I do believe Hp Tuners is a little bit cheaper.. Im sure others will chime in

With hptuners your initial purchase(Standard $499 or Pro $649) you get enough credits to tune up to 4 separate pcm's and can add more at any time via paypal & an emailed application key. The program itself is very user friendly and you can view some of the major features in action in our demo section here http://www.hptuners.com/help/getting_started_demos.htm

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.

There is a pretty steep learning curve when doing custom tuning, but it can be done. We have some great Specials going on right now for both V1 and V2 of EFILive and a Wide band O2. You can check them out in my sig. Both EFILive products come with 2 license's that will each let you do unlimited tuning to 1 pcm of any type of tune (N/A, SD, 2Bar, etc.) at no additional cost. Additional PCM licenses are only $95. You can check out the web site for more info or just ask me.
