Gauge wiring?
#1
I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to wire my gauges. I currently have a PLX dm-100 /wideband gauge hooked up on a toggle switch. I would like to rewire it along with my new autobmeter boost/vaccume (mechanical ) and autometer 100 psi fuel pressure gauge (electrical) gauge so that all 3 will come on when the trucks turned on. Im currently without a computer so its hard for me to search. I just dont wanto get into cutting and splicing and mess something up. Thanks for the help guys.

So my idea is this.... black wire to battery ground.... white wire to a wire in the dimmer harness for the dash lights. Then try and find a wire off the cigerett lighter for the red wire?

Ground wire is fine, but the cig hot wire is always on, so your gauges would be on even with the truck off. Go to autozone and get an "add-a-circuit" and use it in the front fuse panel for something that has power when the key is turned but not when off. This is what I did and I used the instrument panel slot I think.
