Default Gauge Glitch in Tahoe

01 Tahoe gauges have a glitch, they sweep and reset everytime I hit the slightest bump.
Now theyre completely off, no rpm, speed is pegged out at 100+, no gas, no volts, water temp sits at 160 and climbs to 185 just to go back to 160, and oil pressure barely moves off 0.
There arent any lights for the P.R.N.D.3.2.1. either.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

You could contact a local auto parts store and see if they send them out for rebuilds, some dealerships send out too.

I know where I live, a place in the cities rebuilds them for all the local shops and only charges around 150 for everything. Do some internet searching for your area and see if any place near you does this kind of work.

I would also remove the cluster and double check the wiring for any damage or see if the connector has any issues. But more than likely the cluster is faulty, extremely common on the 03+ trucks. But can happen on any of the GM truck clusters. Normally the oil pressure or volts and the speedo always max out or get stuck, even seen the speedo needle snap off because it went too far.

Cluster rebuilds usually only involve the stepper motors for the gauges and seem to be an issue more so on 03-06 models. If your PRND321 isn't illuminating I'd be looking for a missing 12V or ground.

Its wierd, when I start it and Im in Park, they illuminate and the RPM work as well as oil pressure and at times the volts...
When I put it in gear and start driving is when everything goes haywire.

Check your battery terminals. I had the same thing in my 03 would randomly cut out and I couldnt figure out why. Then one day I noticed the terminals were corroded so i cleaned them and never had a problem after that.
