You will need to email both of those files to support@hptuners.com

Include your HPT serial number in the email.

You will need to license YOUR tune file, with your VIN number. The license is written to your HPT cable, and is identified by your VIN.

HPT will transfer the necessary 80e segments from the 80e file you have, into your 60e file that you sent them. No need to license both files.

Hope that helps!

Thanks a ton! Do I need to license my file before I email hptuners? Or does it even matter?
I just wanted to make sure I had 2 files with the same OS.

Thanks!

You'll have to license it before you'll be able to edit it or write it.

So do I license the file they send back? Or does it not matter? I'm licensing my truck's vin and I'll be able to write anything to it after its licensed. (I'm over complicating this aren't I?)

If you license it before you send it, it will still be licensed when you get it back.

I got my modified tune back today. Yay!

Now I need to start researching what I should be changing in the tune for my 4L80E. Torque management, shift speed, TCC, etc.

Thanks again for your help!

Alright. Well I went wrecking yard shopping and got some connectors for the ISS sensor. I thought I got the right connectors for both ends, but it turns out, the ECU pins I picked up were incorrect.

So I've been googling for the right pins.

Do these look correct?
