Actually its the serial port they ditched not parallel. Some models are still coming with serial but alot are no longer. This sucks because like you mentioned a lot of networking devices use a null modem or console cable.

 

very few new laptops come with a serial port...monitor port maybe to hook up a separate monitor(very common mistake).

 

That's what mine has...you can tell because the plastic inside the port is blue

 

Say- dumb question for y'all. Fir the life of me, I cannot sanve a scan; I name it and everything and it apperas to get saved- but when I go to open it again for later viewing, there's nothing in there. No data to view the last log run...........................

 

Are you hitting the play button up at the top?

 

Yes- nothing. nothing in the other PID's either...

Are you sure you are saving the log and not the scan configuration?

 

Well, 'mann; that's what I call my cat BTW, yes with the 2 n's- I save it, name it and it get's saved as a .cgf file, should I be doing something else................
