electric fan ac tap
#1
My trucks a 2000 and its got a 2002 os full flashed in with a blackbear tune...I installed ls1 fans and have a harness from ls1fans.com here for it. Everything is pretty self explanitory, but my ac doesnt work and i dont really have an intentions on fixing it. So do i need to tap the ac wire to complete the circuit for the fans to work after they are wired up, or will they still work correctly? If they do have to be tapped, which wire does it even tap because it didnt come with any instructions. The tag just says "ac tap". Thanks

I go them in, now when I go into DVT in efi, and activate fan 1 and turn on, both fans come on low. When the truck warmed up to temp, both fans turned on low. I thought only one would. Or does that sound right?

Keep them wired in series, just like you have it... Having them run independently and kicking on/off on high only has more power surge on the system than both coming on at low and then kicking into high. Chances are you will never even need them both on High at the same time, if you don't plan on using the A/c.
