Just bought a EFI Live v1 from another member here and it has one license on it. How do I program my truck to that license?

 

just hook it up to your truck and it will take you through the process

 

When you go to tune it will ask if you want to use a license on that vin. just say yes and thats that

 

I hooked it up and nothing comes up. I can data log so its working but cannt program my vin in.

 

Go to the tune tool program, Flash>Program PCM Calibrations in the box that pops up there's an option to license the PCM

 

You can read your tune, and scan with it with out licensing it to your truck. It will not need to licence to your PCM until you try to flash a new tune to the PCM. The you just click the skinny red arrow to write to the PCM and it will check the PCM and see it hasn't been licensed to yet and then prompt you to license to it before it will write to it. You just confirm that you want to permanently license to that PCM and then it will lock to your cable. Then you can flash you new tune to it.
