I just got my Autocal from Blackbear yesterday. I set everything up and did a data log earlier.

I then tried to extract the stock tune and got an error code: $0281

From Blackbears site, it suggests that I might have chose the wrong options list. I chose: Gen 3/Vortec

Has anyone else ran into this issue? Which options did you use for the BBX?

The truck is an 05 2500HD 6.0L(LQ4) 4l80e.

You choose the wrong PCM type. Yours is a GenIII LS1B 99-08 pcm or LS1 99+ if using just the auto cal.

 

This is what was in the options file that I downloaded:

Options - Gen3, Vortec was the only logical choice.

When I plugged it into my OBDII port, it showed:

I selected Ls1B,

 

I decided to try it again and it worked this time. Not sure what I was doing wrng before but it works now, haha.
