Default Efi Live....4l80E....Injector Flow rate....help please!!

Alright, I'm still doing the install but I want to get the prgramming ready now, so I can do it as soon as the motor gets dropped in. Where can I get the program I need for the 80E swap?? On the injector flow rate calculator...do I enter in the numbers, into efi live, from the lb/hr slot??? I ask because the stock numbers are all the same across the entire MAP....but different on the calculator!!!!?

Thanks

For the trans conversion, you will need to find a tune that has your same operating system and the 4L80E. You can copy over the tranny segments as detailed here:

http://forum.efilive.com/showthread....ighlight=4l80e

As far as the bigger motor goes, you can change the cylinder size to match the new size. I also increased all of my VE tables by 10% to compensate for the new TB and the bigger cam. I haven't been able to drive it yet but at idle I added too much fuel, so once I can drive it I am going to start playing with the Auto VE tuning again. If your injectors are the same size as before you shouldn't need to change anything there.

If you need a tune from OS 12208322 with a 4L80E, let me know and I will send you mine.

Yep thats my operating system!!! It says:

OS: 12208322
OS ID: BD
Calibration ID: 12212431
BCC: DMNP

Hope that makes sense

And I went with larger injectors this time. Going from stock...to 57lbers!!

PM me your email address.

I didn't change my injectors so I'm not sure what is involved in that. The 57 lb'ers will be plenty though!!

You have a vac ref fuel pressure reg, so the numbers in the IFR table will all be the same. Just change the numbers to flow rating of the new injectors.

You need to see what values EFI live is using for the IFR table #/hr, G/sec...etc

The numbers in the spreed sheet correct and will not be the same across the board. The flow rate goes up with Map kpa. This is the correct way to calculate the IFR tabel.

You can use a straight value but you need to know the flow rate of your injectors. Ie 31#/hr is at 43.5 psi but fuel pressure is 58 so you would use roughly 36#/hr

Kbracing just posted that since it is a Vacuum referenced FPR so the numbers should be the same across the board!!! Is this not true or are you meaning with an aftermarket FPR???

No I didnt see his post. But after further review he may be correct as this is the general thinking. The only thing that throughs me for aloop is the later calibrations are done similair to the injector spreed sheet. Mabey someone else will chime in on this
