Default EFI custom OS, 04 system on 05?

I have a 2005 custom 2bar OS in my truck now but would like to try a different custom OS. I downloaded the lastest version 7.4.2, but I still only see one 2bar custom OS for 2005 models. Can I use the 2004 custom OS? I want to try a different OS because I don't think my truck gets along well with the one it has. I have knock problems that will not go away and am running out of things to try. I do not want to go back to MAF, that is a last resort.

14.63 (Stoich) , I have a 05 6.0L and running COS3 3 bar with no problems with knock , can you post up your .tun for people to see ?
Try COS3 , it should be in the "Custom OS" folder and # 05120003 for the 3 bar try it .
If it is happening at the same location and the same amount in the log then it is mechanical .
I think both 04 and 05 are 1mb so should work , but why ?

Look at some of your fueling tables , [B3601] , [B3605] Stoich is (99 to 02) 14.68 for some are (03 up) 14.63 for others , but I guess Stioch is 14.67 if you want it to be .

Here is a tun. I just put a MAF back on today, I still get some knock in the same area but I am running 20* more timing than my SD tun. I also have another thread about the knock here https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=396426 .

Just a quick glance at your .tun and I saw a VE table [B0101] that was off and the Spark High Octane [B5913] is not quite right either , it as if though someone did some linear planing where they shouldn't in the Spark table .
Forgot to add , in [A0014] and [A0008] put a value of 0 (zero) save then re-open then put back to 1 and save and then re-flash don't know why but it does clear up some knock issues sometimes .

I am running on the 04 OS in SD now with the same results. I put the stock timing tables in, iat and high and low octane. I started getting the same knock so I pulled some timing out with no effect on the knock. I am going down the exact same road I went down with the 05 OS. I have a pretty good VE in there right now, the truck feels smoother but still knocks. It is not lean. Here are some more recent files.

Thank you for the help HD6.0l, your time is appreciated.

Something is up with your MAP , in the log it reads high when you get knock , either you are boosting to soon or you are under a load or MAP is bad .
When watching the .tun and the MAP kPa in the VE table at knock it shows 25 to 35 kPa of MAP but the scan log shows 90 to 100 kPa or more .

B6244 looks a bit too sensative to me vs. some of the other .tun files I have done/seen. Look at a Stock 02 F-body table B6244 for example.

HD6.0L, I agree that something seems off about the map. It is a 2bar. I adjusted the offset from 3.1 to 4 yesterday to get it to read 100kPa at key on not running. The 2bar tutorial had me scale the map sensor voltage vs. kPa to 190 in another table. I noticed that my ben's were not lining up with the VE, but the scan tool seems to be correct. I can get into boost under 2000rpm right now.

Rhino79, I backed off both sensitivity tables a little bit and was left with audible knock without showing it in the log. I put them back to stock for now.
