any way to disable remote start not working when dtc's set

What's the code preventing the remote start? You can turn off drivetrain codes, but not body codes. If that's what's preventing the start

 

i have to usual header codes turned off.
today is p2270, rear o2 stuck lean,
probably needs an o2 which i will fix

but i would like to disable the no start on dtc as any dtc disables the remote start,
pain in the butt in winter time

 

you'll probably have to reprogram the alarm controller box if you want it to ignore trouble codes. i don't think HPT can do that.

 

Well, in HPT you can turn off any drivetrain code.But I don't think Remote Start MIL disable is an option, just go in turn off the codes your having problems with.

I usually do this when people have third party remote start/alarms, and it also makes it cheaper when you need to get a new ignition key because it doesn't need to be chipped or programmed:

P1626: Theft deterrent fuel enable signal not recieved
P1630: Theft deterrent learn mode active
P1631: Theft deterrent start enable signal not correct

make sure the SES enable boxs are unchecked, and set all the those codes to 3-no error reported
Than under System> Security VATS, set to PWM

But really since your getting downstream O2 codes, just turn them off.

P0136,P0137,P0138,P0140,P0141,P0147,P0156,P0157,P0 158,P0160,P0161,P0167

Set them all to no SES & 3-no error reported
