Default do i need any trans tuning if installing bigger trans cooler

do i need to retune the trans if i am going to install a tru-cool 40k because i heard from a guy that due to the large capacity of new cooler there will be a drop in the trans pressure

Well there are several tranny temp based tables in your tune. Force motor current comes to mind, which controls the pressure for the ENTIRE tranny... I would only look into tweeking something if your tranny starts shifting harder or softer. But the likelyhood of it actually being needed is probably 1000 to 1..m

Well the reason i asked because when i installed the lt headers i noticed a rasing in trans temp i did not retune the car after the lt so even with lt do i need to calibrate anything on the trans settings

in that case i would look to see if your headers are touching the cooler lines... My example above was mainly if you had extremely high tranny temps prior to installing the cooler and you pressures were adjusted to that tranny temp... Basically a worse case scenario or very rare....

For the oil cooler you don't need to retune.

Well the y pipe that is very near to the trans oil pan ,i did not noticed the stock y pipe is the same or not ,i had wraped the y pipe and there was a slight changes the max temp i had reaches up to know is about 203f
