Default diagnose this

Ok, my friend has a 2000 gmc sierra 2500. He says that once every month or two his truck starts when he turns his ignition but then kills after a few seconds and even when he hits the throttle. He replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, alternator, battery, and the mass air flow sensor. Any of you guys know what could be wrong?

I would have to say ignition switch too.....had two trucks come through this winter at the dealership with that same problem...one was a 1999 half ton I believe and the other a one ton, but sounds to be about the same problem these two had.

I agree. this connector, solder the joints. there is a tsb and think it has something to do with VAT (Vehicle Anti-Theft)
