Default Denali 6.2 WOT Problems

Really unsure of why this is happening... just started 4days ago, and the first time it did start, it wasn't everytime I went WOT.. Now it is!

This only happens in 1st gear too... the others gears at wot are fine..

It has got to be throwing some codes. What do they indicate? If you have changed something like the crank or cam sprocket from a phasing type to a stationary type, you might need to disable the phasing diagnostics or do a crank relearn.

Judging by the way it's acting it looks like it's loosing serial communications. Need to check the IPC and PCM for codes. Whatever is happening it's definitely storing a code.

only code im getting is for the cam timing over advanced...

im starting to assume it might be something to do with the trans since it only happens in first gear?

other ideas are maybe the cam install... when I'm at idle and rev the motor i get 7 hits of KR... its loopy...

I reduced the timing down and same thing...

my mechanic told me it looks like a safety feature for the engine.. will be taking out the vvt and installing a normal cam in the near future...hopefully this should take care of my problems

What is the sensativity at in the KR table? My SSS had a lot of false knock at the top of first gear and it fell on it's face before the 1-2 shift. My first thought was KR when I watched the video but with all your guages going loopy I wasn't sure.

im getting no KR on the top of any gear.. can't tell on the 1st gear since it won't let me read till the end of it.... just plenty of kr at idle....

i haven't played with the settings, and this is deffinately something new...

just ordered an ls3 timing cover off ebay, hopefully a new better cam will fix the problem..

I didnt see a full mod list, did you post one? One thing for sure a new cam isnt going to fix the problem unless it is cam related..
