it was bs they might have been talking about doing a os change to be able to segment swap a 4l80e or someother trans.

 

Just out of curiosity, I called my local dealer and asked them if they had ever heard of this. The first guy said it was a myth, then I asked to speak to a more experience guy that me and my dad have always done our warranty work through and he said he has heard of it, but that their shop didn't have the machine to perform it.

 

It's just a system called TIS that contains the SPS program we use to reflash, like stated before you can't do it, the system reads your vin # and when it comes time to set up the reflash you only get 3 engine choices , diesel, gas engine, and alternative fuels. Tell this guy to share the wealth LOL sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about.

 

You don't have to take our word for it but that would be silly
