Are you still trying to use it in a 99, or are you putting the PCM into an 02? You should be able to put what ever stock OS on the PCM that you want with a full rewrite, 99-02 that is.

No COS needed, just swap the pcm. You will need to copy and paste all your calibrations in your 99 pcm over to the 2002 OS (12212156), and you will be set.

i thought there was something to do with altenator wireing. if you didn't do it then you would get a battery light. a guy at work wants to swap his 99 pcm to a 01 to get rid of the false knock problem the 99's have.

The 99 to 02 "upgrade" was easy. Didn't change the alt wire. Just disabled the DIC code for the alt. Don't recall which DIC it is off the top of my head.

You can do it.
