Default Considering mail order Nelson ecm

Hello everyone, I am considering getting a tuned ecm by Nelson and was wondering what all i can expect from it. Also will it have to be tuned on 93 oct for best results or can i still run 87?
This is all for a 07 tahoe 5.3l with intake and exhaust.

Forgive me but i am new to this, but always up for suggestions and learning stuff.
Thanks alot

should be able to get tuned for 87 and still get a good gain. You can look into wheatley as well may be a little cheaper and people have had nothing but good things to say about his work.

Both are sponsors and both are very reputable. I would stick with the 93 tune for best results for your money. The difference is only about $5 for a 26 gallon fill anyway, the performance gains will pay the difference.

lots of people have, sure. Expect 20-30hp over stock, add a few mods and it helps even more.

I live within driving distance of them both. However, I'll never buy from them solely for the fact that they lock their tunes. I haven't quite figured out why, but it was probably the only thing stopping me from giving them $400 of my money.

For most this doesn't matter, but for some(like me) it's important.
