Computer Year?

How can I know what year is the computer from for any ls1 vehical? I know it has a tag on it but what will tell me the year it came from? Thanks in advance.

If you want to know the specific vehicle, then the 4 character code (BCC) will identify that. The 8 digit serial number can be checked against the parts catalog at www.acdelco.com to determine applicable vehicles.
