Default Clogged Cats

Could clogged cats reduce power?
Idk if its just a SOTP but without the Y pipe just on the manifold it feels pretty good.

I'm not running the rear o2's so idk if they are clogged.
I wanna just get the saw and cut the cats off and weld a pipe in

Drill hole, bust out. Weld back up. Easier than welding in a new pipe.

if the cats were clogged you'd be smelling rotten eggs.

What I do is get a buddy to put the rpm's to about 1500-2000 and i put my hand very close to the tail pipe, then tell the throttle to idle it then go back up, if i dont feel changes in flow, and as the rpms get higher the engine sorta lags, i deam clogged cat. happened to a buddy in his alero. driving on the highway all the sudden it fell on its face, buddy took an hour to drive 10 min. away because he couldnt go above 15mph. that sucker was clogged worse than the septic system after an all you can eat steak buffet. and it didnt really smell either, which is what got my attention since our dumb selves were in a semi closed garage with a running car and i noticed there wasnt much exhaust smell... or perhaps i was already half brain dead... im thinking the second.

Clogged cats will deff cause a lack of power.. The more it is clogged the less power you will have.. Since you dont have rear o2's anyway your best bet is just to get rid of them all together and then you never have to worry about them
