I have been tuning efi for over 10 years. including hondas (please do not stone me, the bowtie tatoo shows my true loyalty) I can tell you if you have no tuning experience you should probably find someone who does, and tell them what you want your truck to do. Now please understand i am not trying to deter you from learning, I just would hate to see you try to "learn" on your truck, and see you learn how much a new engine costs. It is so very easy to remove a rod from the block without taking it apart if you do not know what you are changing in your tune.... If you do not "need" a tune right now, and can wait a month or 2, then check here, and go log on the hp tuners forum, and start reading, you can not only learn alot about what needs to be changed, but you can learn from the others what they have tried and what works.
The best advice i believe you could get at this point. I know it may be cliche' but when it comes to tuning "knowledge truely is power" and to get mechanical power you need alot of knowledge.
sorry for the long post.
BTW i am new to this message board, just bought my first new truck....
My name is shannon, and hope to get to know you all..... till then buckle up...

I went through the EFI University EFI-101 and it was worth every penny, I would like to take the Advance class when it comes to Grapevine.
