Default Can the stock 60e stall be tuned to recover 4200rpm?

In general terms to tell the tuner if possible. 1-2 shift is dropping off to 3600-3700 just killing the 55-70 range climbing back up to the power band.

Don't have the money for a stall and also do not want to dump any money into this 60e besides a cooler and a servo. Next buy will be a used 80e

I like how it drives in the low- 3000rpm for dd but the WOT recovery sucks, don't know if I would have to trade some dd comfort for more aggressive WOT shifts?

No that cannot be changed with a tune. Ok well, it can if you keep raising the shift point. Raising your 1-2 shift will help some but with a stock stall and a 60e shift recovery sucks.

Yup. What he said. That really can't be changed with the tune

It is 5900 right now so how much roughly would 6200-6300 bring?

If you increase your shift speed by 300 you may see a 150 rpm increase after the shift. Not very much. And with stock valvetrain I wouldnt recommend that high of a shift speed. You won't make any power up there.

I have dual lunati 0.660 valve springs and 7.375 hardened push rods and a 210/218 .584/.584 on 116lsa

The cam card said power from 1500-6000, but I bet with bolt ons it should still be making power till 6200???

If I did raise it that would help 1st gear get and extra 2-3mph and only drop to 3900rpm range which should help it some.

Sound like a stall is the only way to reach the recovery I want

Is the shift recovery better with an 80e with the closer 1st and 2nd gear ratios?

Much better. Bump your shift to 6200-6300

Yea the 80e has a much longer 1st gear and tighter ratios from there. The thing to consider is that the 80e is a bigger heavier trans. Unless you plan to add boost to that 5.3 there is no need for the 80e swap. You will never get it performing the way you want because first gear is SUCH a bear without the right power.

Sorry about the RPM comment... I couldn't see that you had a cam in there. Yes it will take that RPM and keep making power with that cam.

Had the 1-2 shift raised to 6300 1-3 6100 by rpm not mph, and tq management removed today. anddd it's amazing what a tune can do

It screams to 55ish and immediately after the 1-2 shift I'm at 60 pulling hard, I let off around 75 never really go above 90.

How will a 60e like these changes with a, respectful foot....I guess lol Floor it maybe once every 100-200 miles
