Did anyone that purchased HPTuners wish they hadn't and felt that it was a waste. I really want to buy it but my conservative side is holding me back. The money is even ready to transfer. I just am worried I guess.

I'll take that as a "GO FOR IT!!"
I do have a wait4me tune and I'm also just curious to see what his tune is like. He does use EFILive though. Don't try to sell me on EFILive though. I don't want it.

I wasted a bunch of money on mail-order tunes before buying the software and going at it myself. If I had it to do over again I would have bitten the bullet earlier and started doing my own, instead of dumping $800 on mail order tunes on top of the cost of the software.
Not sure how the compatiblity is between HPT and EFILive, but you might be able to send Jesse some HPT log files and he can just email you new tunes. That's how I did it with Nelson for awhile before I started doing my own changes.

yes you will, if you have the license for that year of tune. I've ran into this before, some-one had a mail order tune with 02 ecm upgrade and could not get the trans to shift right. I try to read the ecm and couldn't. come to find out it was a 2002 ECM with a 99 bin file.

Go for it dude!
Its nice to get things done when you want it, how you want it, the way you want it.
My cousin is having buyers remorse right now with a mail order tune from a VERY reputable tuner. We have just had nothing but problems and hes just gonna have the dealership flash his pcm an then let me tune it.

Tuning software is the best investment I have made on my truck. I do, how ever use EFILive and love it! If you go with HPT, get the Pro version with EIO cable. you WILL want to use it with a Wide Band once you really get into tuning. I wish they wouldn't even sell the cable with out the ability to log with a WB. Pretty much everyone I have ever talked to that bought the non EIO cable wishes they had got the pro cable.
