i would say get the software first, that is what I am doing i am saving up for HP Tuners, AEM wideband and a Interceptor scan gauge, however it is a big investment straight off the bat. Every mod I have looked at doing suggests/requires tuning. From what I have been reading everything will benefit from tuning, and I don't want to waste money on something I can hopefully do myself someday. but it is a big investment up front, from what I have calculated ~$1250 (software, wideband, more if you don't have a laptop, which i don't)
