Default Blatant Curiosity

I am considering purchasing an 08 Silverado RCSB. I already have it picked out. It is equipped form the dealer with a cold air induction and a gm performance parts Exhaust system. I plan on doing some serious work on this truck to make it a very fast truck and make it look like a new edge SS Silverado clone. I am considering headders and doing a cam swap and possibly a set of heads. My question is Can I get a tune done for all these mods and ditch the weak stock trans for my built 4l65e. Will I have to just buy the software and do it myself or is there a company that can do the tuning for me. I know that the displacement on demand will be an issue. Is there anyone that can help me oput before I completely talk myself out of buying this truck?

yes a tune can be done by Wheatley, Nelson, or any other reputable tuner. And the tranny swap would be no big deal Good luck

Actually I was considering that swap on the 6l80e but with lack of funding and such it may just be a built 65e for a little while until I can afford the 6l80e. of course i will want it built and have to have the ole shift kit.

The six speed RCSB would be pretty sweet. BUT.. about the shift kit, does anyone even make one yet? my local tuner has a ccsb denali with the 6.2 6L80E combo and he slips the 2-3 shift every pass with just a CAI and his tune. i know he has been looking for a shift kit for a while but i dont think he has found one yet. anyway, it would probably be fine behind a 5.3.
