B1 always leaner than B2 wot
#1
02 B1 always reads lower than b2 and I think it is the source of my kr problems. All my wot runs B1 measures anywhere from 20 to 100 mv leaner, Ive thought for a while I might have a small exhaust leak could this be the problem. Could it be the sensor even though it is very consistent and seems to be reading accurately?

I think B1 is the drivers side but I could be wrong. On my truck the two banks start out about the same at WOT and then B1 seems to lean out 5-15mv more than B2. It varies a bit from run to run and with different boost pressures. I start a run around .905 and finish around .840 at 9.7 psi with 50/50 winter windshield washer mix in the meth kit.

thanks for the reply mort, in my case Im seeing it consistently 50 to 60 mv leaner like b2 will be at 910 and b1 is at 850. I have to make it too rich in order to get proper fueling on one side and avoid kr, its really irritating because I know Im leaving power on the table.

I really don't have much tuning experience but it sounds like you need a new O2 sensor in B1. If you log your individual injectors do they all look good and about the same? Maybe a small exhaust leak? My guess is a weak O2 sensor.

swapped 02's today and bank 1 stayed leaner, ran a full can of carb cleaner through the top half and also dumped in alot of injector cleaner. I think it did something sent everything +4 lean corrected tune and Ive still got the same problem. Im almost positive it is the injectors I bought these 31lbers used off someone and god knows what they have been through. Below is a pic of the problem. You can see even under part throttle that side tends to run leaner.
I dont think its an exhaust leak because its causing kr.
Any ideas on how to narrow down which injector it is or if its possible to test with an ohm meter.

If it has a air pump or EGR they can cause this but unless it is way differant there is nothing to worry about. My ltfts on bank 1 are allways at -3 and on my right bank +1 so I have the same problem of bank 2 running a little lean, I do alot of tuning and I see this all the time, like I said I would only worry if its off alot.

Im positive its an injector problem does anyone know if you can measure voltage directly at the injector? Will it be a return voltage or simply a pulse to fire it? Any idea on how I could differentiate which injector it is?
