I am looking for specific locations as far as fuses go. Which switched 12 volt power supply did you go with.

Also with the yellow wire, how did you guys do it? Did you mount it to the ground so the gauge does not dim? if so, is it too bright?
If you mounted it to the headlight is it just dim all the time being we have daytime running lights?

Thanks for the input.

I'm going to use pin #7 from X14 under the driver side distribution block. This power point will turn on when the ignition is turned on OR when a remote start is issued, which is necessary for the wideband sensor otherwise you have a chance of damaging the sensor while the engine is running and the sensor is not powered.

Fuse #54 supplies up to 10A

I haven't dealt with the dimmer wire yet...

THanks for the info. I like how "power point will turn on when the ignition is turned on OR when a remote start is issued"

Hmm. I wonder if our trucks are wired differently. My fuse number 54 says seo b1 (15a)

I would like to hook mine up this way too. Let me know if there was an error in your typing about the 10amp fuse or if our trucks wiringis just different.

thanks

Chris you seem to forgot that we found the 2007 GMT900 and the 2008 GMT900 has some wiring changes when we researched your truck...

So "Yes" yours might possibly be set up different.

On the older trucks, a lot of people spliced into the dimmer wire that reduces the brightness of the gauge cluster/radio buttons. My wideband is the newer MTX model (but should be similar) and the a/f numbers will be 100% bright all of the time and the dimmer wire is just used to control the back-lighting of the gauge. If wired up to the headlights the back-lighting should only be on when the headlights turn on and I don't think that it would have the ability to be dimmed.
