Default any idea what this wire is for?



it's in between my fusebox and DS fender. must have been that way from the factory.

2011 GMC sierra CCSB SLE highly optioned. Seen this when i removed my DRL fuse for my HIDs.


ANYONE?????

I think it's the wire to complete hooking up a trailer brake controller

I hope not! My truck has one built in. I've never used it but it'll show more gain on the DIC when I hit the + on the controller.

Hooks up to one of the power studs on your underhood electrical center. Terminates at your 7-wire trailer connector to provide 12V power for trailer battery charging, flood lights, etc.

Nope, unless you're gonna be towing anything that needs aux 12V power.

For instance, my 18' open car hauler has a motorized tongue jack and under-body flood lamps (for tying my car down at night). So, I had to hook that wire up (and install a fuse for the corresponding stud on the electrical center), so my lights and tongue jack would have power.
