Default After radix install, up to 5 degrees of kr!!!! help.

so, what do i do? this is on the stock magnuson tune. everything stock, but dual exhaust, and high flow cats. Fueling looks good, and i've put a few hundred miles on it over a few days. help, it's actually present enough, that i heard it with my ears!! i have screen shots of the kr on the histogram and logging, whoever wants to see it, i'll sent it to you. for some reason up loading it to photobucket shrinks it. the kr is at like 50-60 percent throttle if i remember correctly. the log showed timing at 10 degress......

also...... the magnuson tune has tranny line pressure of 96!! i thought the highest we're supposed to go is 90? isn't over 90 a huge no no!?

watch your ltrims. and watch your fuel pressure for sure. If you aren't using 42+lb injectors and an inline fuel pump, you should be.

oh, and your best bet would be to PM Slowhawk and schedule a dyno tune at Dez Racing

your best course of action would have been to PM me or call.

Have you considered a possible install issue? There is a troubleshooting process for this that you could have done.....Who predicted?

Is this tip in kr? Are you running 93? If you could post a chart pick of the log that would help alot. Size injectors? Need more info and some screen shots.

Do you have a shift kit? I wouldnt worry about the line pressure going from 90 to 96 unless the shifts are extremely jarring.

Before you take any of the advice you find in this or the other thread, I would highly suggest calling or e-mailing me. I hope you are not out beating on it doing "logs". If you have audible detonation there is definitely something wrong, and I am willing to bet it is not in the tune......there are thousands of people using the same tune without any issues.

I agree. The Mag tune is fairly light on timing, being it's designed to run on 91 octane gas. Before you panic, call Blownchevy, they are MORE than willing to help you work it out. Don't hammer on it, and don't panic. It will work out.

93 octane, and it's just a blip in detonation at like 50% throttle, lower rpms, twice on hill, once on flat ground. only lasts a second. a small blip like that, i really hadn't considered an install issue... i figured it was just a lil adjustment necessary in the tune, so i was looking for input on where to go. I contacted brian, and we'll see where the "troubleshooting process" goes.

Can you hear any actual pinging? If you see kr come up, then at least the pcm is working the way it's designed. Sometimes, you might be seeing what some refer to as "anticipated knock" whereas the pcm sees certain parameters coming on that cause knock, and starts to work even before detonation comes up. It's nice to eliminate all of that, but at least the system (pcm) seems to be working properly.

I had this issue for a while. I would get some KR if I floor it at the track instead of brake stall it as well as if I had an engine load over 60% in any gear. Tip in and burst knock suck. Believe it or not, I was able to get rid of it with a few silly things like new plugs (tr-6's) and wires, gatorback belt and lots of tuning on the dyno.
