Default Afr..... 18

Started having issues with my truck. Wideband showing 18 at idle. When it does allow me to get into the throttle, the wideband gets down to ~14 - 16 AFR. It's aggrevating because the truck will start, run fine half the time, run rough the other half, then DIE! Nothing in the tune was changed. Truck ran great yesterday without issue. Today, can't put it in drive for long before it DIES.

Think I'll change the filter, and price the regulator (just in case).

Unfortunately, the other tank isn't in the truck. It's in storage. I thought about going to get it out of storage with about 5 gallons of gas to test that one. The bad thing about testing all this out is the fact that I'm trying to sell my house. With clients coming to see the home, it's not good to have a vehicle on jacks. Bad time for this thing to act STUPID!!!

just put a fuel pressure gauge on it. should answer most of your questions. best of all it requires no jack stands and can be had at autozone for about 20 bucks.

Ya know.... truck ran somewhat better today. Didn't really drive it, but I think I'll drain some of the tank. Wondering if bad gas may be a symptom.

I have been told by a tuner that wideband O2 sensors are inherently inaccurate at idle. Take it for what its worth.

sounds like the regulator is going bad, fuel filter is clogged, pump is going out,maf is going bad,or you have a leak somewhere or a cracked intake manifold. Good luck tracing it down.

Based on it just happening. If you fuel and fuel pressure are good based on experience the lean condition is probably caused by a bad MAF or MAP in that order. Good Luck and post an update.
