Default ABS module question

Do any of the experts know if an ABS module from an 06 Denali will work with an 01 sierra computer? I am trying to upgrade my brake system and have acquired a master cylinder, proportioning valve, abs module, rear calipers and all the lines from an 06 denali with the max motor. I bought my 01 sierra new, and it always had crappy brakes, always wears out the rear pads first, soft pedal and close to the floor.
Has anyone tried this before?

Check part numbers.

I'm almost wanting to bet that the PCM/BCM/ABS function are all going to different because 01 is cable TB, 06 is DBW and everything on the 03+ are of a newer design.

To me the ABS module isnt going to change how it "brakes". Thats more on the master, rotor/pad combo and condition of brake lines. Add hydro boost and you will have really good brake feel.
