Yukon denali XL?
#1
Hello guys, first post. I need a recipe to get me the most baby for my buck with my 06 Yukon denali XL. I tow occasionally, haul 7 passengers with subwoofers and gear. Looking for passing power and food street manners, with lots of torque low end and an absolute blast to drive. I plan on keeping my 373 gears and me 4l65e. Any suggestions?

You'll want to really beef that transmission up if you plan to do anything really. They don't survive very well in stock form and with wanting to add power and tow with it, it's going to live a hard short life.
I won't suggest anything in particular but a aftermarket cam, some headers, intake tube and good tune will help move that heavy truck better. But if thats not enough, just slap a supercharger on there or a turbo kit with stock internals and have alot more fun.

Thanks for the reply. I can't see myself swapping out a working trans at the moment, but when it goes, I'm either going to put a 4l85e behind a np149, looking to keep awd. I have been searching this site for cam recommendations and in seeing mixed info. Some say don't go anything over 220 and some say different. How much power am I looking at with full bolt ons vs full bolt ons with blower?

my 02 5.3 made 204whp bone stock
With a 12psi procharger and a cam, it made 477.
Of course it had injectors and a pump, but nothing else.
So you are looking at more than twice the power with a blower. Screw bolt ons beside long tubes and a cam.
