Default ABS/brake light comes on randomly

whats going wrong? this started about 3 weeks ago and is getting worse and worse. the abs and brake light will both randomly turn on and stay on. if i restart the truck they turn off. the other day when they came on i decided to test the abs system...when the lights are on abs does not work, but when they are off everything is fine.

a buddy at the dealership said speed sensor but he's just a parts guy what do yall think?

You may not need to change any parts. First each front wheel sensor out and clean them. I had the same problem and the front sensors only needed cleaned.

pull the front rotors off and there is an allen head bolt that screws into the hub. you could try and pull them out and clean the mounting surface that may help. oh when you put it back together put some wheel bearing grease on the sensor
