Default 99 silverado engine/wire harness computer swap question

Hello. I swapped a engine and the wiring harness/computer from one 99 silverado to another. It starts and dies right away. I think it is a passlock problem but the starter crapped out at the same time as i was trying to start it. Installing the new starter tomorrow. But was curious if the computer swap could be the problem. I could put the one that belongs with the the pickup but not sure it works since the engine was bad when i got it and alot of messed up stuff was done. Why I changed the harness. Also my old truck that was wrecked had power seats the new one doesn't would the wires for the seats be ran on the one that is not power. I might pull the seat and check was just curious.

thanks for any help.

Swap the computers back if it was the same size engine.

It was the same size engine. I got it running today after the passlock reset thing. Now to change the front transfer case output shaft seal after I get over this flu. So any idea on the power seat question.

thanks for the reply if I run into some other problem will probably swap the ecm/computer back to the one with the truck. Maybe what I think is the computer is not its the silver box in the black box by the engine.

No on the seats. Truck has to be wired for it.
