Question 60lb injectors on stock tune

i just completed my 4l80e swap and while i was waiting for some parts for that, i installed my 60 pounders not even thinking. now i want to start the truck to get the fluid level up in the tranny and check for leaks, but what will happen if i start the truck with the stock tune and the big injectors? Getting the truck tuned later this week, but thats a 3 hour haul from my house and i dont want to get a base tune in and start the truck to find it gushing trans fluid all over the dyno or something. any thoughts or ideas? yeah i know im a dumbass

change your IFR table to the appropriate numbers. It will certainly be fine enough for a start up and check out.

then it will be rich as the little monopoly guy and risk washing your cylinders.

It'll probably be ehhh okay, but I wouldn't do it. And if you know me...I'll push anything to it's limit. You are going from stock inj's to 60's? I guess if you are closed loop the PCM will try to correct the rich scenario. Look at that, I talked myself into it. Fug it, give her hell man.

I'd put your old injectors back in until you can get it tuned for the new ones. The 60# injectors will flow over twice the stock ones...I'm not sure that the fuel trims can compensate that much.

Id say try it and see what happens, I think worst case you'll spend alot more in gas going out there than you would normally use

I'm with thunder, put you stock injectors back in. It doesn't take that long, and I think doubling your fuel will not be a good thing, since it will be in open lope the whole time any way since it will still be cold.
