5 speed TM tune question?
#1
Yes it's another question about torque management....
I see there is always a discussion goin on about removing TM 100% or not. I know alot of people have ripped through their automatic trannys. Do people seem to have the same problem with the 5 speeds? I am goin to order my tune tomorrow or wed, and am wondering if it's a bad idea to remove all TM. If so, whats a go %? I'm thinking 80%....?

im pretty sure thats concerning transmission torque management, which you dont have with a 5-speed manual
i would take out all engine torque management
its hit and miss on the 5-speed tranny, turbogibbs put over 450rwhp through his stock trans/stock clutch 05 5-speed but ive heard of others breaking theirs with only boltons

torque management is basically non existant with the 5 spd. its been a few years ago but when i had nelson performance tune my last truck with the 4.8 5 spd he told me that there was an engine tqm and a transmission tqm and that the trans tqm is the biggest hinderance to performance. i would agree with what was said before and remove 100% of the engine tqm.
