I currently have 01 chevy 1500 4x4 shortbed, and I have had other 5.3's, when I change the exhaust and air intake, it seems I have less power, and the tack does not rap up as quick. Anyone else with this problem, or is there some way to change the computer? I ran dual pipes of the stock muffler on this truck for the look because of past problems.

 

You just need a tune. Find someone to tune it for you or do a Wheatley, Nelson, or Black Bear.

As they said. When you mess with the engine you need to tune it so it takes advantage of the modifications.

 

Get a tune, it will be much much better..

 

I recommend a cable or live tune from Justin at Blackbear Performance, i did the live tune September 5th and couldnt have been happier. All tunes are better than stock and most tunes are about the same so no matter who you go with you will be a lot happier with it than any hand-held piece of ****.
