hi im in the middle of rebuilding a lm7 from a 01 sierra, ive searched on here and google and i cant find wat im looking for.... im debating on whether to give the shop the okay to bore it to the 3.898 to use ls1 pistons, will it require a tune to get running, how much will the extra bore effect the computer, will i be able to drive it to a shop so they can tune it...? all other components left stock. with the exception of a small 205/204 @.05" w/stock lift.

Yeah it'll run just not the greatest...Start up on my ls1 was with the stock tune FWIW...

 

What's the overlap on that "small 205/204 @.05" w/stock lift" cam?

 

112 lsa, overlap -20 @.05" (cam card doesn't show me advertised duration.)

 

You should make the trip to the tuner just fine.
