Default 4l80e guys, please step in

I've been trying to dial in the trans tune but I can't seem to get it right... Can someone help me or possibly lend me their file to copy. Its a stock 80e w/the hd-2 kit, stock torque converter, 4.56 gears and w/31.6" tires.

I used an excel spreadsheet I found on HPt's forum, I just plug in my data and it computes it. I still don't like it, and the gears hang up way to long. It shifts hard but it doesn't shift right at part throttle or WOT.

Thanks

What RPM do you want it to shift at, your WOT shift points are at 60mph for 1-2. With 4.56's I dont see this happening.

Well the cam starts dropping off after 5600 so i figured around 5800 WOT. Or should i go around 6000? I know if you go a bit higher it won't fall back so far in the band after the shift. I think my fuel cutoff is right around there though so i'd have to bump it.

Thanks!

You still have torque management happening in the trans tune also. With the hd-2 I would think you could remove all of it.

The reason it was at 60mph was bc of my brother. He changed it on me while he was tuning the truck. He's still learning on the auto trans tuning, lol. I knew something was different, but i hadn't compared it to an older file which was ok but still needed work. Of the vehicles we had that we could tune 80% were manual, lol

Yea, i knew that too. We always thought you had to leave some on the trans.
