The pcm in my 2010 silverado 2500HD is locked, went to the dealer told them to unlock they said sign a contract that we remove the warranty so i didnt do it.

I ordered a reflashed PCM and still the tune is locked so someone please tell me what options do I have or is HPtuners working on something cuz now also my spare pcm is locked and cant open it.

 

If it's a stock PCM i don't see how it would be locked. Unless this is something new that I've never ran across.
Did you order a Tuned PCM or just a stock one?

 

just a stock one from pcmperformance its getting on my nerves a tuned 03 cadillac just gave me a car length lol

 

sounds like they locked it then. If they locked it then only they or the dealer can unlock it.

I have a 2010 6.2L Sierra CC. I have heard of this and have also heard of the dealer being able to see if the vehicle has been tuned even if the PCM/TCM has been returned to stock settings. I have not had mine checked to see if it is locked. I will be looking to get tuned in the future and am curious as to what the fix/outcome of this is!!!

My 2010 1500 truck has been tuned by Nelson and it is bad ***, not sure what is going on with yours though, hope you get it figured out!

My 2008 2500HD was tuned many a time, maybe this is something they just started on the new 2500s?
