Default 2001/2002 4.3 w/manual trans.

I am in dire need of a tuning file for a 2001/2002 S-10/Sonoma with a 4.3litre engine and a manual transmission. I've searched HP Tuners tune repository and found plenty of 4.3/automatic tunes but no manuals. If you have one, please upload it to the tune repository. A friend of mine swapped from and auto to a manual transmission and now the rpms will not come down when you lift off the gas. I suspect throttle follower/cracker is causing this, just need some good numbers.

Thanks,
Tony

Have you tuned it at all? Load is much different on the Autos vs. Manual setups. I've experienced some similar issues while putting an initial tune on a truck where there's too much in the MAF table for a certain area and the engine likes to hang for a second. Also, disabling adaptive idle will make this happen too although it's mostly when you come to a stop.

Have done a base tune only. He's got several issues he needs to address before we really get down to tuning. ie... vacuum leak on cold air kit. exhaust leaks, etc.. Just trying to get a handle on the differences between auto vs. manual tune. Major complaint is cruise control effect during shifts and when you left off the gas, vehicle will maintain rpm for several seconds before it begins to drop. Will be able to tell more once he gets air leaks fixed. Getting rid of unmetered air may solve a lot of our problems.

Thanks,
Tony
