Default 2000 vs 2002 Spark Numbers

Hey guys i have the stock tune from my 2000 PCM.
Im fixin to start tweaking my tune, i have to get alot of parts together for my turbo install and stuff. So in the mean time i want to learn this think yall call Tuning... haha.

I have my LC-1 hooked/wired/communicating with EFI Live. Im working on a AutoVe Tune. But i need to know if the Stock 2000 Spark tables are the same as the 2002 spark table... im not quite sure why im asking this...

I got the 02 PCM from Jesse @ Wait4me and he tuned it.. I noticed the spark tables are different.

Before i start the AutoVe tuning i need a stock Spark table.

Thanks guys!!

They are not the same, the 2002 will have more WOT spark timing. Use the 2002 tables since you have that pcm. If your running 93 octane, thats going to change anyways. I always get it close to where I want it first, still on the conservative side, then do VE and MAF, then go back and tweak spark.

ok, thank man... but the only stock timing table i have is a 2000..... Either i need a stock 2002 table or i can dial this one in..

I guess i can just use the timing table i got from Jesse on the 02pcm.
Im goin to copy Jesse's timing tables over to my current table and make sure there is no KR.

If you had HPTuners I would email you a stock 2002 file but I see you have EFIlive

so, you are just really screwing around until you get the turbo install done right? learning? cuz I say screw it, use the 2000 spark table and work and learn off of it. first, it's milder on spark and gives you a little more room at WOT to "learn". jesse's tune, is it for the turbo install? if not, why not throw it in now? (bare with me, i've been asleep for 2 days, damn crappy sickness)

keep in mind, from my experience of messing with spark, ve, maf and so on...any messing with the spark throws off your ve. Add spark, go leaner. Take away spark, go richer. Nothing huge, but the differences are there. Especially in part throttle tuning.

dive in man, there's enough folk here to get advise from. (2000's are prone to more kr than 2002's anyway(and it's not because of the spark table), so lose the 2000 as soon as you can anyway)

Hey dewey, Im just tryin to learn a few things while im N/A. Im goin to use the stock 2000 table and do the AutoVe tuning.

Jesse's tune is just a 93oct tune and its on a 2002 PCM.

Thats why i want the stock table so i can start there and then do the AutoVe tuning, then when the VE and MAF are dialed in, guess the Spark table can be tweaked some?

The 2000PCM is sittin on my dresser in my bedroom. The 2002 PCM is sittin under the hood of my truck.

Thanks guys!!

Can EFI live read HPT files? If they can, Nelson has a bunch of stock files over on his site for people to download and use.

Hope this helps......

www.holdencrazy.com for the EFI Live tune repository.

I think I have a stock 2000 silverado tune somewhere if you can't find one. Shoot me a PM if you can't find one to work with and I'll get it for you.
