I thought about a SD tune but after discusing it with Richard @ WCCH decided against it . you would have to stay on top of climate changes so that rules me out , maybe someday I'll give it a try with LS1 edit or something . Living in NY state there's a saying " Don't like the weather?, give it 5 minutes!)
I did drill out a vacumn fitting on the LS6 intake for it and hooked up the aeroforce gauge for now............

I'm a lil lost with teh climate changes, all 4 vehicles in my signature are speed density (2 are 2 bar, 2 are 1 bar) and none have complained. The boost vette has seen teens to triple digits, and the tahoe has been as low as -25 in lake placid before windchill. The sub hasn't been subjected to much past single digits yet.......but will be eventually.

Really? I haven't discused it with my tuner (Ed Wright) but my new motor might benefit from a SD. I think it might be at at 600 or so HP which exceeds the MAF............right?

the major advantage to not having the MAF, is, not having the MAF.

That said, I wouldn't do a SD tune if I couldn't tweak the tune myself.

where in NY are you? we have some of the best FI tuners around....

my truck and vette are boosted with speed density.......right now my buddy is out driving around in his avalanche (just pulled the sts off it, paxton going onto it next, procharger previously, lol) tuning it speed density as we speak.

I'd be pissed if you don't make 600 at the wheels with that combo.......look at what my truck makes with a stock 6.0....

well if you're good you can tune the truck SD for full throttle when the MAF fails (max flow) and have the MAF still work in part throttle applications.....works for my suburban.

the new ecm's have awesome stuff in them....

I'll PM you. Yes it should be more like 650 at the wheels but don't want to brag.

Yes I understand that. I would rather run mafless and not deal with the extra parts and costs associated with it. Same reason why I shitcanned the evap, EGR, and everything else that isn't relevant to controlling the EFI or A/C.

Either way works, I just have a preference toward "fewer parts, fewer headaches" with my stuff.
