Default 2 Bar Tuning Iat Sensor Location

Ok, Changing To A 2 Bar Tune But Have Some Questions

How Do I Get A Iat Sensor To Work With The Truck At The Throttle Body, It Is Part Of The Maf Now And My Maf Is On The Intake Side Of The Turbo, So It Is Not Seeing Accurate Intake Air Temps. Do I Just Cut And Splice The Wires From The Maf?? Is There A Iat Sensor That Is A Screw In Type That Will Work?

Now Going To A 2 Bar Tune, Does The Maf Stay Or Go?? I Already Have A Part Number For The 2 Bar.

By The Way, I Have A 05 Serria Denali 6.0l With A Pt70gts Livernois Turbo System.

I Just Want To Get The Drivability Down On The Truck And Im Doing A Cam So I Might As Well To Everything At The Same Time To Save On Tuning.

Is There Anything Else Im Missing That I Should Do??

There is a write-up on relocating the IAT sensor on the forum somewhere. As far a the MAF goes you can keep it or toss it and go SD if you like. I kept mine for a while but recently went mafless CLSD and haven't looked back. Talk to your tuner about that.

my boosted vette has its IAT sensor into a rubber grommet drilled into the charge tube (downstream from meth......if you ever plan to add meth) and it hasn't popped out at 20 pounds of boost...

I'm also pretty sure the grandnational IAT sensors were the threaded ones. Also the 502 ramjet crate motor has a threaded in IAT sensor, I'm running out the door to go racing with the 427 car tomm, but you should be able to pull up a parts list online for the 502 ramjet.

you can remove the pins from the maf 5 pin. im using a Fbody IAt sensor. i drilled a hole into my charge pipe and used the rubber gromlet and just pushed sensor in. i dont see a leak or havent blown mine out with 15psi either.

msd-2320 at summit is a threaded fast acting IAT snsore. Just remove the appropriate wires from the maf harness to it and put it wherever your want. After meth close to the TB

The wires are the tan and the black wire on one side of the MAF plug.

Weird, on mine it's the tan and tan/black stripe wires. They are next to each other on the side. Must be difference between the years.

just for clarification.

2 bar, is the pressure reading the map can read up to. 2 bar will read up to 200 kpa or 2 bar.

SD is speed density, no maf. you can run a maf, but depending on boost level it can max out, no a bigger MAF wont help.
