1997-2002 PCM for MPFI Turbo App??
#1
I'm building a single turbo'd 350 using a L31 short block. I want to run a Edelbrock VICTOR EFI manifold with an 90* elbow and a single butterfly TB like on a LS motor.
Will a stock 1997-2002 truck PCM drive 8 injectors? I'm looking for a OEM PCM that will run GEN I motor with a distributor and sequential firing and can be tuned for boost. Due to the cost, I'd prefer OEM over aftermarket or Megasquirt which would be my 2nd choice.
Thanks,

Personally I would go with MegaSquirt. I've setup MS on two motors now, and its a good bang for the buck and turbo with it is easy. I think you could use a OEM pcm, but would be rather difficult, and you would still need some software like EFILive to reprogram it.

It's a general use Delphi SD controller that started out as a marine EFI unit and then GM put it on the ramjet series of crate engines and industrial motors. It's been used here and there in performance aps but people with knowledge to tune it seems scarce. More data here: http://www.gm.com/automotive/gmpower...700_marine.pdf The current OS is version V (MEFI V).

Check out these two threads on other forums. Lots of treat info on Vortec change ups. I'm doing a Ramjet 350 with 12200411 changeover in a 41 Chevy pickup.
