I would have siphoned that crap out of the tank and went to a known good gas station. Tell him to use that gas for his lawn mower or snow blower or whatever…

Yeah, that's funny! lol. He brought it in with a full tank for me, so 26 gallons or so? Anyways, when he picked it up, he said he'd burn the tank out & then bring it back Friday morning, but we just got a bunch of snow & the roads are crap again, so no street tuning until the roads dry out again.

[QUOTE=GMCtrk;4646287]you cant really pinpoint afr based on narrowband readings.

Mine is low 12s on the WB at 870 mV
/QUOTE]

EXACTLY!!! I had a car I was tuning not long ago and the narrowbands were registering 910-915 mv at WOT and my wideband was showing a lambda 0.9 which is an AFR around 13.2.

Narrowbands are pretty much useless. When I still had 02 sensors on the truck I seen a 11.8 wideband reading that registered everywhere from 850 to 940mv on the narrowband sensor. You cannot use them for tuning, its a pure guess using them.

Kinda like shooting at something with your eyes closed, it is possible to hit a target but no where close to being effective.

Those models are very sensitive and it amy also have very agressive kr table in the amount it pulls and a very slow decay rate. Was the kr audible? It's not like the ls1 and it may be false knock.

No, the KR was not audible.

I'll post back in this thread when I see the truck again, with new gas from a different source.

Just updating this thread. The truck came back in yesterday with 90 octane from a different source. The KR was gone, so I proceeded with the tune.

I recorded 0-60 and 0-90 mph times stock & tuned.
Stock 0-60 mph was 6.162 seconds, and 5.257 seconds tuned.
Stock 0-90 mph was 12.948 seconds, and 10.795 seconds tuned.

You cut over 2 seconds off from 0-90? That's pretty awesome.
