Default 05 4.3 to 04 6.0 with segment swap...starter wont stay engaged

Hey guys, I've got a 2005 v6 5 speed rcsb that i swapped in a 2004 6.0 and t56. I used hptuners to segment swap in a 05 express 6.0 tune to my p59 v6 ecm so I could keep dbc. When I go to start the truck - the starter turns over for like a .5 second and quits. Seems like something is killing the signal? I'm not sure whats up, I don't have a scanner to check the crank request and such until Tuesday. I'm leaning toward it being in the tune? not sure. Any help? TIA

Found the problem. Was in the tune. I had to go into the system options and turn off the crank low res. After this the starter stays engaged correctly. Now I have a battery light on the cluster, but the system is charging just fine. I'm not sure how to go about this, but my 05 v6 harness had a generator battery control module on one of the battery cables. After following the schematics it appears this is what sends serial data to ipc to turn off/on the battery indicator light. Any one have any ideas on how to remedy this without wiring back up this GBCM?

I had a 2005 Escalade harness I was going to use in my swap that had the GMBC. I've read where the alternator defaults to a constant 13.8 volts when the GBMC is deleted. The GMBC box is located on the ground cable and that box has a connector plug that connects to the harness. I'm guessing the 04 harness has no GBMC connector? Is the alternator a 2 or 4 pin?

The alternator that came with the 04 harness and engine is 4 pin but only 2 wires are going to it. They are gray and brown. The alternator off my 05 v6 is 2 pin and a different connector. You are right about 13.8 that's what I'm charging at. Think there is a way to fool the cluster into turning off the battery light? Or am I going to have to wire up the gbcm? If I end up wiring it up...do u think ill have to swap alternator and the connector as well?

Alright...got the battery light out finally. Had to use the v6 ground cable that had the gbcm installed on it and then run 7 wires to make it work. 2 powers 2 grounds purple to ecm grey to alternator and orange to c100 for serial data. My swap is up and running just needs a good tune.
