03 8.1 tune?

Default 03 8.1 tune?

looking at tune for My 03 2500 HD ccsb 8.1 with Allison 5 speed 4.10 . have free flow exhuast and drop in K&N. is a daily driver and I tow a 13000 lb. 5th. wheel travel trailer. best bang for the buck easiest to install ect.
any reccomendations?

live tune by far is the best bang for the buck. if you dont have someone near you to do it then i would do a mail order tune or get the software and start learning. try to use the search button often before posting questions, itll save you time and from getting flamed.

^^^^ there are your options...

If you choice mail order you have Nelson, Wheatley, black bear performance. Nelson and wheatley are in the banner list to the right, Black bear does not have a banner yet, but can be found a few threads down in this section.

Your other option is to learn yourself... your choices there are EFIlive and HPTuners.

went with Black Bear and am satisfied so far, nice guy to deal with, did a mail order tune, and fast shipping.

only about 60 miles mostly city, takes a while for the allison to relearn shifts. really looking forward to towing my 5th wheel.
